Biography
Barbara was born in Vallejito Arriba, municipality of Los Cacaos, San Cristobal, in May 1966. Daughter of Reverend Deacon José Moreta and Santa Paula Contreras, she trained as a professional stylist with a background in English and administration. In 1991 he emigrated to New York in order to financially support his family, initially working in beauty salons until he discovered his vocation for the winery business. Motivated by this experience, he decided to focus his efforts on the grocery sector.
Since 1995, when she opened her first winery, Barbara has established herself as a committed businesswoman, recognized for her effort and dedication. She is considered a reference by other winemakers, especially the younger ones, whom she generously guides from her role at United Wineries of America. Her dedication, faith and spirit of service have made her an admired figure in the retail community.
