Biography
Rosa B. Ayala is a prominent Dominican community activist, recognized for her tireless work in the defense of human rights, women’s empowerment and the promotion of sustainable cities. Her career combines cultural activism with social leadership, positively impacting both the Dominican diaspora and diverse urban communities in the United States.
She is the founder of Dominican Heritage Month an initiative to celebrate and preserve Dominican culture in the United States and internationally, strengthening pride and unity among Dominicans in the diaspora. More than 200 awards: Her commitment to community leadership and human rights advocacy has earned her numerous awards, including recognition from the Dominican Embassy in the United States.
