Biography
Otilio was born in Villa Fundación, Peravia province, in the south of the Dominican Republic, in 1969. He is the youngest of his siblings in the family created by Luis Hernández and Pañola Medina. He completed his high school studies and from an early age worked with his father in agricultural activities until he was 20 years old.
In January 1990, he emigrated to New York City, where he began his career in commerce as a clerk in a warehouse in Manhattan. Thanks to his effort, perseverance and entrepreneurial vision, he managed to open his own bodega in 1999, consolidating himself as a successful businessman. Today he is a member of the board of directors of United Bodegas of America (UBA). For Otilio, his greatest pride has been to guide his children with principles of seriousness, honesty and integrity.
